150 Regulators Delivered for Sonatrach Project

The Sonatrach Project required 150 regulators to control the pressure delivered to valve actuators in remote locations across Algeria. It was essential that they could withstand fluctuations of over 300bar (4,350psi) in the supply pressure and control 12.6bar (180psi) to within +/-1bar, and they also needed to be as compact as possible. The Pressure Tech design team delivered the MINI-301 with a balanced main valve design and large piston-sensed element to overcome the complexities of the application criteria. It provided excellent control to the valve actuator system and fit the brief perfectly.

Flanged LF-311 Developed for NACE Application at Saudi Aramco

Pressure Tech has developed a unique single-stage regulator with a flanged inlet connection and NPT outlet connection. Typically required for sour gas applications, this design allows direct pressure let-down from the main ‘high pressure’ process line to the ‘low pressure’ instrument line without the need for expensive high alloy tubing.

$50k Order for Appomattox Project Secured and Delivered

Pressure Tech's LF-690 regulators went through an intensive test program before being selected for use on the HPU's being supplied on the Shell Appomattox project, Houston. The system builder in Houston simulated various extreme situations that the pressure regulators encounter when operating the subsea valves, including initial start-up and emergency shut down procedures with high differential pressures and various flow conditions. The stable and repeatable control (2%) witnessed by the system builder and their clients ensured the LF-690 was specified for this key project.

TS-311 tested to extreme climate conditions for H2 analyser application Two major orders have been secured for a range of regulators for use on analyser projects in Saudi Arabia and Russia, where ambient temperature conditions couldn't be more extreme. Both projects required over 200 units of our TS-311 two stage regulator, specially developed for use on Hydrogen service. The Russian project involves operating conditions down to -55 deg C (-67 deg F) and the TS-311 was thoroughly tested at these extremes on Helium service using a TAS climate chamber capable of reaching as low at -70 deg C (-94 deg F).

Back Pressure Regulators

For accurate control of inlet pressures to any process the back pressure regulators include all the design features of the other product ranges and cover from 1/8” to 2”. The complete range of back pressure regulators controls pressures from 0.1bar (2psi) to 690bar (10,000psi) on both gas or liquid applications. The designs provide accurate and repeatable shut off due to the large sensing area and minimised loading on the seating area.

The new range of Flow Control Valve presently being developed for chemical injection systems are based around a negative biased back pressure regulator built into a single block manifold, which when connected to a metering valve provide a simple mechanical device that maintains a constant flow rate irrespective of pressure variations within the system. A range of manifold configurations are available and can be designed to meet individual customer requirements.
