ABOUT THE ROLE
Pressure Tech is a precision engineering firm with energy sector clients across the globe. As we expand into the clean energy market we have an exciting opportunity for skilled CNC programmer/setter/operators to join our growing team. Vacancies are available for two shift patterns, either 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, or and afternoon/evening shift, 10 hours a day, 4 days a week and we are recruiting for both millers and those with experience of operating twin spindle machines.

DUTIES INCLUDE

• Programming, setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including multi-axis and sliding head
  
• Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
  
• Finishing components to the highest quality standards
  
• Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
  
• Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements
  
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
  

REQUIREMENTS

• The successful applicant must be a team player who can equally work on their own initiative, and meet the following criteria:
  
• Experienced CNC programmer, setter and operator, preferably with experience of operating 9-axis and/or sliding head machines
  
• Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial
  
• Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
  
• Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
  
• Experience of CMM desirable
